Hip Replacement
General description
Hip replacement or complete hip replacement is a surgical orthopedic procedure to change the hip’s articulation using an artificial devise (prosthesis) to restore joint movement. All patients who undergo hip replacement must be aware of pre and post-surgery requirements.
Benefits
?This orthopedic surgery is usually performed in older patients. It is not recommended for younger ones because of the tension the artificial hip receives.
Some reasons to consider hip replacement are:
- Pain in the hip that does not respond to traditional treatment
- (AINE non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs during six or more months).
- Osteoarthritis or hip arthritis diagnosed through radiography
- Incapacity to work, sleep or move around due to pain
- Loose hip prosthesis

Knee Replacement Surgery

Orthopedic knee replacement surgery is often recommended for patients with severe arthritis or another debilitating knee condition. During this procedure, an orthopedic surgeon will cut away damaged bone and cartilage from your thighbone, shinbone and kneecap and replace it with an artificial joint (prosthesis).

- Considerable stiffness

Knee Cruciate Ligament
General Description
Orthopedic surgery repairs the knee cruciate ligament through arthroscopy; that is, the use of cameras and microscopic instruments in large and narrow tubes to alleviate knee problems. Small incisions are made. Usually, joint problems are a result of sport practice.
Benefits ? Knee surgery is performed in the following cases:
- A torn meniscus

Shoulder Arthroscopy
General Description
Orthopedic surgery of this type is perform to examine or repair the tissue inside or around the shoulder joint. Pre-surgery tests required are few. If you suffer from a particular condition, related tests must be performed.

Shoulder arthroscopy allows the physician to visualize, through small incisions, two anatomical areas: the joint itself and the subacromial space.
