Step 1 Logistics/Details: Once you have made your
decision to get your health back on track with a medical tourism package, Navigate Global Health is
designed to make it happen with as little stress to you as possible.
We are our own international travel desk which will book and coordinate all aspects of your overseas trip, finding prices not available online. Our 30 years of international experience will help avoid many of the aggravations international travelers can face.
Perhaps one of the most critical steps is the proper
handling of your personal medical records. Navigate will help you
collect all the records your host country doctor needs. We can assist with the transfer of your documents or we are can handle the transfer of your
documents in a safe and efficient manner. We work in partnership with
the healthcare providers in our network. This means that your files
and documents will be transferred based on the policies of your host
hospital, so your files arrive in a safe and secure manner.
Step 2 Arrival: Upon arrival you will be greeted at the airport and driven to the
hospital or hotel. You’ll be introduced to a host country medical travel liaison a member of the international patient services team, who will coordinate your admission and all details during your
stay. Depending on the time of day you may also meet your doctor, who will explain
your procedure and perform any necessary pre-operative tests. The
“Pre-Op” tests are designed into our system to ensure there were no
changes in your medical condition leading up to your surgery. These
tests are at no additional charge to you. During the admission process
you will settle any payments to the hospital, usually by credit card.
Step 3 Procedure: Once it has been determined you’re
ready for discharge from the hospital, you may transfer to another lodging facility for recovery. To the extent possible
you stay extra days and schedule one more appointment with your
doctor before your flight. Your doctor will be in the best position to make travel recommendations. Rest assured that Navigate is here to coordinate any necessary changes to your travel itinerary.
Step 4 Returning Home: After
your doctor has determined that you are fit to travel home, Navigate’s
Travel division will re-confirm your travel arrangements. Upon
check-out at the hospital or hotel you may have to settle up any extra
incidental bills, but beyond that your are clear for take off.
Once
home your Navigate MTA will stay in touch to assist you and your US
medical team with any follow-up questions. We will also help relay any
“Post-Operative” results with your doctors abroad. They love to hear
how you are doing and the feedback is always helpful in determining how
we can further improve our system.
